Superyachts

Frank E.H. Neubelt & Udo A. Hafner

No other German yacht designer and naval architect has made such an impact on yacht building as Frank E.H. Neubelt. Over 25 years ago, the trained shipbuilder  founded the  newcruise studio in Hamburg. From then on dozens of designs ranging from 20 to 115 meters length flowed from his pen. Without a doubt, yachts such as the Triple7, Luna, Siren, or the special motor glider Lunar  were milestones that were often internationally awarded. Frank is a passionate sailor and participated in several regattas. This, combined with his learned profession as a shipbuilder and years working at the Danish shipyard X-Yacht contribute to the source of his experience.

After more than 20 successful years with newcruise it was time for a change. Frank met Udo. Udo,  a passionate water sportsman,  who over the last 15 years has been known for his creative thought process and for bringing structure and a system-based approach to the beginning of every project. This approach defines his designs, which are equally innovative.

In this way Frank‘s knowledge and experience gained from decades of work on large and complex individual projects is combined with Udo‘s from serial prodution – a perfect complement between design and engineering. „Yacht design only performs when you know how ships work. Naval architecture is one of the significant elements for this,“ states Frank.  Udo speaks even more clearly: „Designers who don’t have this foundation cannot develop successful yacht projects because experience and passion are also necessary.

Frank and Udo have been bundling innovative creativity and know-how for a long time. IYacht is committed to detailing and engineering.

The resulting concepts and design studies of super yachts from Franks drawing board supplement the successful repertoire of the finest GERMAN YACHT COUTURE unique sailing and motoryachts up far beyond the 100ft + class.
